But David Spade said of the coupling, "It feels like we're being 'punk'd,' " adding, "I'm actually jealous that you can fall that head-over-heels in love in like 38 minutes."

The Seattle PI has posted it's review of Americano, which is being shown at the Seattle International Film Festival starting on June 8th.

"AMERICANO (U.S.): Joshua Jackson is an American college grad in Spain on the last days of a backpacking tour of Europe. As the dream of art and the joy of self discovery through wanderlust struggles with the pull of social expectations (a corporate job awaits), he meets an exotic free spirit (Leonor Varela). Kevin Noland's debut feature is at its best as a sensuous exploration of a college grad's last adventure and Noland is surprisingly adept at embracing contradictory perspectives (he presents a bullfight as both bloody cruelty and beautiful ballet between man and beast), but the film soon falls into cliche. Jackson's revealing journal scribblings are obvious and the vivacious Varela becomes little more than a muse who gives her blessing with her body. The scenery, however, is gorgeous. (S.A.) Grade: C"
