Season 4 Cover Art and Extras

Thanks to notsomuch and Mandy for posting this on the board:

In the wake of their early-Monday announcement that Dawson's Creek - The Complete 4th Season was due to arrive on 10/5/04, Columbia Tristar has released more details about the set. First off, here's their description of the season's events:

It's senior year for Dawson, Joey, Pacey, Jen and Jack! After spending the summer, Joey and Pacey find it difficult to keep their romance going with the realities of school, college applications and their strained relationship with Dawson. Dawson rediscovers his true life's dream, Jen turns over a new leaf after getting a new boyfriend, and Jack tries to rebuild relationships after revealing he's gay.

The studio has verified that the presentation is full-screen, with English Dolby Surround Sound. Subtitles are in both Spanish and Portuguese. 4 discs include all 23 episodes from the fourth season.

This features new music selected by the executive producer, including Jann Arlen's "Run Like Mad" international opening theme song which graced the 3rd Season DVD set. The "Ultimate Dawson's Creek Trivia Game" is on board as an extra, and you'll also find a commentary track on "Coming Home" by Executive Producer Paul Stupin. Then Stupin returns with Writer Alan Cross for commentary on "The Graduate". Plus there are bonus previews for similar Columbia releases.

$49.95 is the SRP, but we're told that there's also a consumer mail-in rebate offer. If you buy "Dawson's Creek: The Complete 3rd Season" and "Dawson's Creek: The Complete 4th Season," you can mail in for a $5 rebate. Columbia didn't make it clear yet if these items must be purchased at the same time, or within a particular date range. So let's just say, "see the 4th Season package for details".

With just two more seasons left to go after this one, it looks like good sales of this set, combined with continued good sales of the 3rd one, will guarantee that the 5th and 6th ones come our way. Stay tuned for more about future releases.

All-Nighter at the Palace

Thanks to notsomuch for posting this on the board:

Centre of attention at Sunday's Cartier International polo was undoubtedly Joshua Jackson, elegant 25-year-old star of hit American television series Dawson's Creek.

Jackson - who had pitched up at the Guards Club sporting an impressive pair of eyebags - was enjoying quite a weekend of it. For Spy hears that he had spent the night before having dinner at Kensington Palace with one Frederick Windsor and a dozen of his pals.

"It was a helluva night," says one present. "The dinner kicked off at a normal time, but Joshua was still going strong at five the next morning. If there's one thing that Freddie can do, it's throw a great party."

Jackson, for his part, told Spy at the Cartier: "I'm only feeling just about human now, to be honest, but it was a fun night and I met some really nice people."

Those people, if reliable sources are to be believed, included (in particular) Lady Emily Compton, stunning daughter of the Marquess of Northampton.

"Joshua and Emily really hit it off," adds my source. "No one's too surprised that they're both looking a little peaky today."

Mighty Ducks 4 rumors

Thanks to fairymary for posting this on the board:

The Mighty Ducks 4

A friend of 'Kate' got chatting with former brat packer Emilio Estevez at a recent doo and landed a scoop "There's another "Mighty Ducks" in the works that he might be doing. This one teams him with Joshua Jackson, who starred in the first two or three films as a kid named Charlie. In this one, Charlie gets into trouble with the law himself and is forced to do community service. he opts to coach hockey team of course and that's when Emilio Estevez is called in to assist. He's also doing a film called "Bobby" which is about the killing of Robert Kennedy, and he wrote the movie too. And there's also a film about the L.A Riots that he is doing with Snoop Doggy Dogg".

Thanks also to 'Stefan'.
