Live from the T4 set, Joshua Jackson, a.k.a. Pacey from Dawson's Creek, joined us for a natter. Here's what he had to say...

Joshua Jackson: Hello everybody thanks for coming!!!
Joshua Jackson: I hope I can answer all your questions

T4 Chat Ed: Ready? Right, here's your first question

buffy: Do you ever wake up and think 'WOW I'M FAMOUS' and have to pinch yourself?

Joshua Jackson: Erm, not that I'm famous but continually amazed that I'm still employed!

AishaGiulietta Hel: If you weren't in Dawson's creek what do you you would be doing now?

Joshua Jackson: I'm not sure to tell you the truth - I'd probably be at school or at University - I don't know...

joeyrandall: Tell us about your new films!

Joshua Jackson: Well there's actually 2 of them, a film called Skulls and another called Gossip. Skulls is rather like The Firm and Gossip is essentially about when rumours get started and people believe them and not the truth. It's very exciting.

stephnjosh: hiya josh you played a gay man in cruel intentions, how was that?!!
DC4eva: i thought u were awesome in cruel intentions!

Joshua Jackson: Well it was different! The fun of the job is to go off and do something entirely new and it was great.

Shivorn: What is your favourite Dawson's Creek episode?

Joshua Jackson: Oh . . . Probably from the first season where we did the Breakfast Club. This season we have just had the best one - well definitely the best script - I don't think it's actually finished yet, but it's gonna be great!

beccisk8: Do you ever think you will become a singer?

Joshua Jackson: Oh God no! I wouldn't inflict that on anybody!

Kara: Do you like your character Pacey? is he like you in any way?

Joshua Jackson: Erm . . . yeah sure I do like him. He's fun to play and he's an interesting character. There are definitely parts of me that are like him.

Malarky: some people criticise DC for being unrealistic as the characters use complicated vocabulary...do you agree or do you think it's adults being pretentious?

Joshua Jackson: Heheh, well Malarky I think it's more than pretentious, it's more them being insulting. It's one of the things that makes the show successful because it challenges people instead of talking down to them. It really bothers me actually, it's what makes it great.

Jen Vicky Suz: Would you pose nude for $5 million (we'd be willing to pay!)

Joshua Jackson laughs
Joshua Jackson: No thanks!

Katherine: What's the strangest thing that you've ever read about yourself, that wasn't true?

Joshua Jackson: oooo erm. I try not to read anything in the press that's good bad or indifferent it can be kind of mind-warping, so I try to avoid it.

ZED17: If you were invisible for a day, what would you do and where would you go??!

Joshua Jackson chuckles
Joshua Jackson: I don't know . . . haven't really thought about it to tell you the truth!

charlotte 13: Who would you like to be deserted on a desert island with?

Joshua Jackson laughs
Joshua Jackson: I haven't a clue.
Joshua Jackson: My dog, Shumba.

mia_wallace_uk_2000: who would u love to guest star in the 'creek'???

Joshua Jackson: I'd love to have anybody on the show. I'm hoping that one of the girls from my film 'Gossip' will come down and work on the show - it's fun working with good actors.

ikklecreekfreak: Why do you think Dawson's Creek has become such a success?

Joshua Jackson: Well I think it appeals to everybody. It doesn't insult the audience, it presents teenage life as a group of stereotypes, it shows us all as humans and that we all have problems and I hope that we help to deal with these problems. Other than that I'm clueless - it's just in the right place at the right time.

Buffy2000: Joshua, are you going to sign another 5 year contract for Dawson's Creek?

Joshua Jackson: At the end of the first contract that will be it for me.

Star: nooooooooooooooooooooooo!
paradise jo: after dawsonscreek what will u do? Dorran: when does the contract finish?

Joshua Jackson: I'm not sure. My contract is for another 3 years...I don't know what the next bit of life will be. We'll see where it takes me.

VickyB: Would you like to guest star on Buffy or Angel? You'd be a cool vampire!

Joshua Jackson: Erm, I think I'd enjoy being beaten up by Sarah Michelle Gellar! I think if you're going to be beaten at the stake it may as well be at the hands of a beautiful woman!

i luv josh!: is it true that you have mooned at the other cast members?

Joshua Jackson laughs
Joshua Jackson: Yes it is! Unfortunately for them.

Sarah c: Are you going to be in Star Wars?

Joshua Jackson: No, I don't think so. I wouldn't turn down the job if they offered it to me but I don't think it's coming my way.

Darren: Where do you get your inspiration when playing emotional and difficult storylines??

Joshua Jackson: From life, everybody has real life problems. All the inspiration comes from things which have happened to you or the people around you.

Amanda: How do you deal with the amount of female attention you get and how does it affect your personal life?

Joshua Jackson: Erm . . . well I don't think as a guy you can ever get too much female attention!

mrswitter: would you say you have had a hard life emotionally?

Joshua Jackson: I wouldn't say that, no. There have certainly been unpleasant times - but by and large I have enjoyed myself along the way.

Elle702: what's the worst thing about filming Dawson's Creek?

Joshua Jackson: I guess the fact that I'm so far away from home.

Claire Louise: What do you think of London. Do you like it?

Joshua Jackson: Yesterday was a lovely day - it's been good to me so far, I haven't really seen too much of it yet to be honest.

chatterbox: when was the last time you cried and why?

Joshua Jackson: Probably for work! Because the scene called for it.

bubblle2: Did you enjoy doing the Blair Witch episode?

Joshua Jackson: Yeah I like it when we do episodes like that. It's nice to have, y'know, a silly episode like that as a relief from the drama. It's quite a dramatic show so it's always nice to do something different.

Paceysgirl: Did Blair Witch scare you?

Joshua Jackson: The movie itself - I'm not really a fan of the hand-held camera approach to making movies. It made me feel more nauseous than anything with all that swaying. But it was scary, yeah.

samy2k: D.C is so much like real life do u think it represented your life while growing up in anyway???? LOL: do you ever help with the writing of the show?

Joshua Jackson: I never really help with the writing. You can suggest things though. Pacey's life is very different from mine, but I think that parts of Pacey's life are represented in bits of everybody's childhood.

flumpso: DC deals with adult issues such as drugs and sex, do you think that this is ok , as it as a young audience and some may not understand the issues?

Joshua Jackson: Sure - I think that if you were to not deal with these aspects it would be dishonest. Whether or not we are participating in them doesn't mean these things aren't around. I don't see anything wrong in having open discussions about these things.

Jada: I hear you're a bit of a prankster on the set. What has been the best and funniest prank and which member of the cast did you do it on?

Joshua Jackson: I'm a bit of a prankster it's true... but I can't divulge what it was, it's a trade secret!
