What Joshua looks for in a girl

If you're dreaming of a smart guy with a great sense of humor and good looks, Dawson's Creek's Joshua Jackson is probably your type!

Whether you're charmed by the smart-mouthed Pacey on Dawson's, the confident Luke in The Skulls or the smooth Beau in Gossip, Josh seems to be destined for a great future in Hollywood. But, what does this talented actor look for in a girl?

A girl who loves to travel:
Since Josh was born in Vancouver, Canada, he tends to travel a lot between the U.S. and Canada (he is a citizen of both countries). So if you're a girl who likes to rack up the frequent flyer miles, you're his dream girl. If the thought of traveling makes you ill, it will be a little difficult for Josh to introduce you to the other most important person in his life: his mom! Josh also needs to shuttle back and forth between different movie locations and the North Carolina-based Dawson's Creek set, so a girl who likes to see the world would be his ideal type!

An animal lover:
Did you know Josh shares his home with a big, black dog named Shumba? This means "lion" in Swahili. Josh loves his pet, so a girl who loves dogs and doesn't mind Shumba's big sloppy kisses would suit him best!

A fun-loving girl:
We all know Josh has a great sense of humor. He loves to joke around, especially when you ask Josh what kind of girl he likes, upon which he is quick to answer: "A girl with a pulse." On the Dawson's set, he is usually the practical joker. That's why this actor loves a girl who enjoys life and likes to look at the bright side of things. Sure, Josh can be serious when he needs to be, but he will definitely go for a girl who can make him laugh.

The outgoing type:
If you've seen Josh rowing and running for his life in The Skulls, you'll know that the 22-year-old performer is the athletic type as well. In his spare time, Josh likes to hike in the mountains and play hockey. During Creek shooting brakes in the spring, Josh can usually be found splashing around in the North Carolina lakes. So if you enjoy the great outdoors, Josh is your kind of guy.

A down-to-earth kinda girl
Although he is a huge TV star and a successful movie actor, Josh is not only looking to date glamour girls, like supermodels and actresses. "If I only dated actresses, I'd be a very lonely man," Josh says. His first love wasn't an actress, he goes on to explain. "She was 5' 6'', with curly brown hair, cute as a button - an absolute sweetheart." As long as you are fun to be with and have a sweet personality, Josh will totally go for that!

Josh does not live a glamourous life style. His family and friends always come first!

"I'm more clumsy than slick when it comes to approaching girls," admits Josh Jackson. "I wish I were slick!"

Did you know that Josh and his dog Shumba have both modeled for the J Crew catalogue? Josh enjoyed he experience a lot and he's very proud of his four-footed, furry friend. So, you see, Shumba is almost as famous as his talented owner!
